●It started intervention treatment of cardiovascular diseases in the 1970’s（permanent pacemaker implantation）.

●It includes 2 clinical wards, a cardiac catheter room, a UCG(ultrasonic cardiogram) room and a cardiovascular research lab.

●It has 66 beds, with over 15,000 out-patients and near 1500 inpatients one year.

●A special clinic has been gradually formed for treatment of those diseases such as hypertension, coronary atherosclerotic disease, heart failure, pacemaker electrophysiological examination, arterial fibrillation, congenital heart disease and syncope, specially in the diagnosis and treatment of peripheral vascular diseases, for example, the interventional treatment of cardiovascular diseases. It was the first for the department to apply a series of high-techs in Taizhou Municipality, such as temporary pacemaker implantation, esophageal electrophysiological examination, permanent pacemaker implantation, treatment of heart failure by using pacemaker, radio frequency catheter ablation（RFCA）for paroxysmal supraventricular tachycardia（PSVT）and arterial fibrillation, percutaneous coronary intervention(PCI) and intracoronary stent implantation for coronary diseases，emergency percutaneous coronary intervention of acute myocardial infarction（AMI），interventional closure of arterial septal defect, patent ductus arteries and ventricular septal defect，percutenous balloon valvoplasty (PBPV) for congenital pulmonary valvar stenosis，intervention treatment of renal artery stenosis.

●In recent 5 years, 12 scientific research items at provincial or city level has been undertaken，1 of them was granted by Zhejiang Provincial Natural Science Fund，and 28 articles has been published in some medical journals, including 4 published in the China’s series.

●There are 39 doctors in the Department, including 8 senior doctors, 4 assistant senior doctors and 11 attending doctors. 

●8 physicians with master’s or doctorate degree were introduced in recent years.

●5 masters and doctors cultivated by the department itself.

Dr. Wen-yuan Zheng   graduated from Nanjing Medical university in 1958, is a leader of key discipline(cardiovascular medicine) as well as a famous doctor in Taizhou Municipality，excels at the diagnosis and treatment of hypertension, arrhythmia, heart failure and various kinds of heart diseases.

 

Dr. Li-jiang Tang   senior physician with master’s degree in medical science, the director of the department of cardiovascular Medicine, graduated from Wenzhou Medical College in 1986, is a the leader of key discipline(cardiovascular medicine), as well as a famous doctor in Taizhou Municipality. He is mainly engaged in the intervention treatment of cardiovascular diseases, percutaneous coronary intervention(PCI) and intracoronary stent implantation for some coronary diseases, interventional closure of congenital heart disease, treatment of heart failure, radio frequency catheter ablation（RFCA）, pacemaker implantation and so on.

Dr. Li-juan Chen senior physician with undergraduate course education, professor of 

cardiovascular medicine. He graduated from Wenzhou Medical College in 1976，specializes

the resuscitation of critical and severe diseases.
